Section 57. Residence permit during application processing
When it is likely that the application will be granted, the applicant may upon request be granted a residence permit that runs until the administrative decision is made.The provision in the first paragraph does not apply to foreign nationals who apply for a residence permit under chapter 4.The provision in section 60, third paragraph, (a) to (c), applies correspondingly. A residence permit under this paragraph does not provide a basis for a permanent residence permit.Chapters IV to VI of the Public Administration Act do not apply to administrative decisions concerning residence permits under this section.The King may issue regulations containing further provisions.
