Section 22. Intent

Intent exists when a person commits an act that fits the description of the offence in a penal provision
  1. a.
    deliberately,
  2. b.
    with the awareness that the act with certainty or most likely fits the description of the offence, or
  3. c.
    considers it possible that the act fits the description of the offence, and chooses to act even if that should be the case.
Intent exists even if the offender is unaware that the act is unlawful, see section 26.
